# Licensing and Recovery This page covers user-facing licensing and autosave recovery behavior. ## Licensing Open **Help > Licensing** to view license status. If a license is needed or has expired, FX-PML can open the install-license dialog. The install-license dialog shows the current **Machine ID** and provides a **Copy** button. Paste the license XML into the license box and click **OK**. ![[Images/Licensing.png]] ## Autosave Autosave is controlled from the **Settings** tab: - **AutoSave** enables or disables periodic snapshots. - **AutoSave Duration** controls the interval in seconds. Autosave does not replace normal saving. Continue to save the project file explicitly as part of normal work. ## Recovery Dialog If FX-PML detects autosaved snapshots after an unclean shutdown, it opens a recovery dialog at startup. The dialog lists original files, autosaved versions, and sizes. ![[Images/Recovery-Dialog.png]] Available actions: - **Recover Selected** opens the selected autosaved snapshot. - **Discard All** removes the autosaved recovery files. - **Skip** leaves recovery for later and continues startup. After recovering a snapshot, save it to the intended project path.
